What do the blog categories mean?
Blog articles are grouped into six categories: Foundation, Core Capabilities, Mastery, Advanced, Tips & Tricks, and Case Studies. Each has its own page and a filter button on the Blog page.
Every article on the blog belongs to one of six categories. They roughly follow the path from setting up an AI-powered PMO to running and extending it.
The six categories
- Foundation: building your Project Brain and managing the documents it relies on. Start here if you're new to using AI for project work. Browse Foundation
- Core Capabilities: the day-to-day work of planning, visual artifacts, meetings, stakeholder simulation, and reporting. This is the largest category. Browse Core Capabilities
- Mastery: understanding AI limitations and verifying what it gives you, such as catching made-up facts or mixed-up details. Browse Mastery
- Advanced: local environments, automation, and integrations, including Python, MCP servers, and Claude Code. Some of these involve technical setup. Browse Advanced
- Tips & Tricks: quick wins and productivity hacks you can apply in one sitting. Browse Tips & Tricks
- Case Studies: real-world applications that show the ideas at work. Browse Case Studies
Two ways to browse by category
- Open a category page directly using the links above. Each one lists only the articles in that category.
- On the main Blog page, click a category button under the search box. The button shows how many articles are in that category, and you can type in the search box to search within it.
Each article card also shows a category badge and an estimated reading time, so you can tell at a glance where it sits.
Which category should I read?
If you're just starting, read Foundation first, then move to Core Capabilities for the task you spend the most time on. Mastery is worth reading early too, because it shows where AI goes wrong. Leave Advanced until you're comfortable with the basics. For a suggested sequence, see Which blog articles should I read first?
