What is the Digital Toolkit?
The Digital Toolkit is a companion website that comes with The Project Brain. It holds ready-to-use versions of every prompt, template, and script from the book, so you don't have to retype them.
The Digital Toolkit is the companion website for The Project Brain: Evolving Project Managers. Buying the book gives you access to it, and it holds ready-to-use versions of every prompt, template, and script the book walks you through.
Why it exists
The book is a blueprint for building an automated Project Management Office (PMO) inside your computer. That involves a lot of prompts, templates, and some scripts. Retyping them from the page is slow and easy to get wrong, so the toolkit gives you versions you can copy and adapt to your own project.
What's in it
The toolkit is organized around the book's building blocks:
- Project Brain Templates for setting up the persistent knowledge base the book calls a Project Brain
- Plan Engine Prompts for planning work such as a WBS, RACI, and estimates
- Visual Factory Prompts for visual artifacts like Gantt charts and dashboards
- Meeting Processor for turning meetings into usable output
- Simulation Engine for stakeholder simulation
- Report Generator for weekly status reports
- Quality Filter for checking AI output before you use it
- Automation Scripts for the book's more technical automation work
Each item pairs with ideas from the book, so the toolkit works best alongside it rather than on its own.
Where it lives
The toolkit is hosted on Subthesis. The exact web address is printed in the book, and both the Kindle e-book and the print edition include it. You don't need a password, code, or account. To get started, read How do I access the Digital Toolkit?
What's free without the book
The toolkit comes with the book. The blog, videos, LocalPM, and this Help Center are free for everyone. If you want a taste of the approach first, try Five prompts every project manager should master.
