How does the knowledge check work?

The knowledge check unlocks after you watch at least 90% of the video. It has 5 multiple-choice questions in random order, the pass mark is 4 out of 5, and you can retake it as often as you like.

Every course ends with a short knowledge check that confirms you've taken in the material before you get a certificate.

When it unlocks

The knowledge check unlocks once you've watched at least 90% of the video on the course page. The page counts each second you actually play, once:

  • Skipping ahead doesn't count the skipped part.
  • Rewatching a section doesn't count it twice.

If the check is still locked, go back and play the parts you skipped. Videos watched on YouTube instead of the course page don't count.

How it works

  • 5 multiple-choice questions drawn from the course
  • Questions appear in random order
  • You need 4 out of 5 correct to pass
  • Explanations appear after you submit, so you can see why each answer is right or wrong

If you don't pass

You can retake the knowledge check as many times as you need. Read the explanations, rewatch any section you're unsure about, and try again. The course's learning objectives, listed on the course page, are a good guide to what the questions cover.

Does quiz time count toward PDUs?

Yes. Time spent taking the knowledge check is added to your recorded learning time, capped at 15 minutes per attempt. Your total is then rounded down to the nearest 0.25 PDU and capped at the course maximum. See How is PDU credit calculated for each course?

After you pass

Your result is saved in your browser, and you can enter your name and download your PDF certificate. See How do I earn a certificate of completion?

Want to prepare first? Each course has a companion blog article. For example, the Tuckman's Model course pairs with the Tuckman's Model article.
