What reports does LocalPM include?
Reports shows six summary numbers, a Velocity chart comparing committed and completed points for each completed sprint, and story distributions by status and by priority. There's no burndown chart.
Open your project and choose Reports in the sidebar. Everything on the page is calculated from the stories and sprints already in the project, so there's nothing to set up.
Summary numbers
The top of the page shows six totals for the whole project:
- Total Stories and Completed (stories with the Done status)
- Total Points and Points Done
- Active Sprints and Sprints Done
Velocity chart
The Velocity chart has a pair of bars for each completed sprint, oldest first:
- Committed: the total story points of all stories in that sprint.
- Completed: the points of stories in that sprint marked Done.
The chart only appears once you've completed at least one sprint. Active and planning sprints aren't included. Because unfinished stories stay linked to a sprint when you complete it, the gap between the two bars shows exactly what didn't get done.
Stories without story points count as zero, so estimate your stories if you want the chart to be meaningful. Velocity charts explained: what they tell you and what they don't is a good guide to reading it.
Distribution
The Distribution section shows two bar lists across all stories in the project:
- By Status: Backlog, To Do, In Progress, In Review, Done.
- By Priority: Critical, High, Medium, Low.
These are handy for spotting a crowded In Review column or a backlog that's mostly marked Critical.
What isn't included
- No burndown chart. LocalPM doesn't track daily progress within a sprint. The progress bar on each sprint card on the Sprints page is the closest equivalent.
- No filters or date ranges. Reports always cover the whole project.
- No export. You can't download the charts or data. Take a screenshot if you need to share them.
For spotting longer-term patterns, see Comparing sprint velocity across quarters to spot trends.
