How do I reset LocalPM or delete a project?

LocalPM doesn't have a "clear all data" button, and you can't delete a project from inside the app. The only way to reset is to clear the data your browser stores for selfmadepm.com.

Before you reset

Clearing site data is all or nothing. It will:

• Delete every LocalPM project, not just one, along with all stories, sprints, epics, team members, standups, and retrospectives.
• Reset your theme to light mode.
• Be permanent. There's no undo, no backup, and no server copy to restore from.

If you just want to remove one project, it's usually better to leave it alone and create a new project alongside it. Unused projects don't affect the others.

How to clear LocalPM's data

The exact menu names vary by browser and version, but the steps are similar everywhere:

1. Open your browser's Settings.
2. Go to the Privacy (or Privacy and security) section.
3. Find the option for site data, cookies and site data, or website data.
4. Search for or select selfmadepm.com.
5. Remove or delete the stored data for that site.
6. Reload /tools/localpm/. You'll see an empty dashboard.

Many browsers also let you do this from the page itself: click the icon to the left of the address bar while on selfmadepm.com and look for a site settings or cookies and site data option.

Make sure you're clearing data only for selfmadepm.com. Clearing data for all sites will also sign you out of other websites.

Smaller clean-ups you can do in the app

You can't delete a project, but you can delete most things inside it. Each delete asks for confirmation:

• Stories, from the Backlog
• Sprints still in Planning, from Sprints (their stories go back to the backlog)
• Epics, from Epics (their stories are kept)
• Team members, standup entries, and retrospectives, from their pages
