How do I use the LocalPM Kanban board?

Open Board in your project's sidebar to see four columns: To Do, In Progress, In Review, and Done. Drag a card with your mouse to another column to change its status.

The Kanban board is where you track work day to day. Open your project and select Board in the sidebar.

The columns

The board has four fixed columns: To Do, In Progress, In Review, and Done. Each column header shows how many cards it holds. Columns can't be added, renamed, or removed.

Each card shows the item's type, a colored priority dot, the title, its story points, and the assignee.

Which stories appear on the board

It depends on whether the project has an active sprint. The badge next to the Board heading tells you which mode you're in:

  • With an active sprint (the badge shows the sprint's name): the board shows only stories assigned to that sprint.
  • With no active sprint (the badge reads No Active Sprint): the board shows every story in the project whose status is To Do, In Progress, In Review, or Done.

Stories with the status Backlog never appear on the board, even if they're in the active sprint. If a story is missing, open it from the Backlog view and check its Status and Sprint fields.

Moving cards

  1. Press and hold the mouse button on a card.
  2. Drag it to another column.
  3. Release. The story's status changes immediately and is saved.

Drag and drop needs a mouse or trackpad. It doesn't work on touchscreens; see Why can't I drag cards on a touchscreen? for the workaround.

Editing a story

Cards on the board can't be edited directly. To change details, go to Backlog and select the story's row to open its edit dialog.
